Why Use a Certified Residential Property Management Company© in Tampa

System - Friday, May 22, 2015

At Berkshire Hathaway Florida Properties Group, we have a team of 30 property managers in the Tampa Bay area. Today, we are telling you why an owner or investor should care that we are a certified company. I’m not sure many owners understand what this even means.

We are members individually of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM). This association provides the strong foundation of ethics for our part of the industry. It also provides continuing education for its members, making sure we know what we’re doing when handling other peoples’ property. It also keeps us up to date with any new regulations, requirements and best practices in the property management industry.

Through this membership, an agent can earn individual designations such as the Master Property Manager (MPM®) designation and the Residential Property Manager (RMP®) designation. With those two designations comes the ability to take our company to a higher level as a leader in property management. It took us several years to achieve these certifications and designations, and it involved a complete audit of our policies and procedures by a NARPM member. We have to be re-audited every three years to keep that designation. We’re proud of it and we want our owners to know that it allows us to be held accountable by NARPM. You can trust that we know what we’re doing, and we can guide you in your property management. We are one of four companies in the state of Florida who have earned this designation.

If you’d like to know more about NARPM or the requirements of certification, please contact us at Berkshire Hathaway Florida Properties Group, and we’d be happy to tell you more.
